About Megan Baker Interiors


Megan Baker Interiors is a full-service design firm that has ​been serving clients since 2018. While we love seeing our ​projects through from the first idea to the final ​installation, we realized that not every client needs the ​full-service experience. Sometimes it's because they just ​need to tackle one space. Other times it's simply because ​they prefer to be more involved.


Our Tailored Single Space Update service was created ​specifically with these clients in mind to provide them ​with a high-quality design plan they can feel confident ​implementing as their schedule and budget allow.

01 | Getting to Know You


Before we officially start your project, we'll ask you to ​share important details so we can better understand your ​design tastes and lifestyle.


This phase includes:


  • A detailed Design Questionnaire we will thoroughly ​review in your welcome call
  • Collection of your inspiration images to better ​understand your style and goals
  • A simple measuring and photography guide so we can ​create floor plans and visualize your space

02 | Meet Your Design Team


This phase includes:


  • A 30 minute Welcome Call, via video with your ​designer
  • Review of your Design Questionnaire, inspiration ​images, and measurements
  • Assistance in determining problem areas and ​prioritizing your goals



Be prepared:


This virtual meeting is best done on a computer or larger ​tablet screen. This ensures you will be able to see our ​documents, and we will be able to see your space. Extra ​measurements or photos may be required at this time, so ​have your measuring tape and phone camera ready!

03 | Your Design Plan


This phase includes:


  • In studio design time sourcing products through our ​trade vendors and select retailers
  • Comprehensive digital design plan detailing the ​recommended furniture and accessories
  • Floor plan and sketches as required to explain the ​design intentions
  • Virtual design presentation
  • Our designer tips and tricks for putting your space ​together like a pro!


Timeline:


Your design plan will be delivered via email, and typically ​takes 4 - 6 weeks from the dates of our welcome video call.

04 | Designer Support


This phase includes:


  • A thirty-minute follow-up call
  • Purchasing assistance for any trade only furniture ​pieces
  • Re-selection of up to 2 items, if requested within 2 ​days of design presentation
  • Megan Baker Interiors trusted Resource Guide


Support Period:


Once you've received your design plan, we'll be here to ​make sure your questions are answered so you can ​implement the design. A thirty-minute follow-up call is ​included within two weeks of your design presentation. ​This is a great time to ask questions or request clarification ​about the items in your plan.

Investment

Tailored Single Space Update


The design fee for this service is $3,750 + GST for each ​individual room. We can work on more than one room in ​your home as part of the same package, which will multiply ​the design fee and timeline per number of rooms.


Furniture budgets will vary based on your selection of ​vendors in our initial questionnaire. A range from $15,000 ​on the low end, to $40,000 + on the high end per room is ​typical.


White Glove Delivery


A receiving warehouse is required for orders placed ​through Megan Baker Interiors, and is what retailers like ​Pottery Barn, RH, and Crate and Barrel call "White Glove ​Delivery". The receiver will receive, inspect, store, and ​provide white glove delivery and assembly for items ​ordered through us. The fee for white glove delivery will be ​quoted with your furniture invoice.

We love ​to mix custom, retail, and one-of-a-kind pieces in every design and base this on your budget, style, and shopping ​preferences. Communication is key to designing a space that is perfectly you!


We'll use email to communicate with you to book meetings so you always know what to expect. Your scheduled thirty-minute follow-up call following your presentation will ensure you feel confident implementing the design plan on your own.

FAQ

What if its not my style?

The Tailored Single Space Update is a quick turnaround limited ​service, and the more details you share about your preferences in ​your questionnaire and inspiration images, the more likely we will be ​able to nail your design on the first try. Sometimes we'll include a ​few options if we see several that could work; other times, we'll ​provide what we believe is the best option for your space.


In the event you'd like additional options, we recommend using our ​suggestions as a reference for style, size, colour, pattern, finish, etc. as ​you source something more to your liking.


Where do you source items?

We select a combination of trade and retail items based on what you ​share in your design questionnaire about your budget and the look ​you are hoping to achieve.


How do I order?

For items recommended through our trade sources, we'll invoice you ​and then take care of placing and tracking your orders. For retail ​items recommended, you'll handle the ordering and tracking on your ​own.

Can you recommend a subcontractor?

The Tailored Single Space Update service doesn't include any ​coordination of subcontractors or project management, but we can ​make suggestions for local subcontractors for your project if we have ​a resource. You would then be responsible for requesting quotes and ​contracting with them directly.


Do I get designer discounts?

For retail items, you will shop as a regular consumer without the ​ability to access our designer pricing. When ordering items through ​our trade sources, rest assured that our pricing remains competitive ​with retail and you won’t have to lift a finger!


Will there be an installation?

The Tailored Single Space Update is a limited service and does not ​include installation. We'll keep you updated on the status of items ​ordered through Megan Baker Interiors so you can coordinate ​delivery times that are convenient for your schedule. You'll be able to ​reference your digital design presentation, and our notes from your ​follow up call to pull the room together with all the items suggested.
